Bindi Square

Italian version

Piazza dei Bindi is so called because a rich Florentine family, the Bindi family, that lived in the palace overlooking the piazza.

You can get there from Piazza del Forno and through narrow streets and alleys: via Spedale, via Buia and other lanes. The palace is historic and dates back to 1600.

The main entrance is at the rear on vicolo de Bindi.

The palace is very large and there are frescoes inside. There once was a pizzeria and at the back, a carpenter’s shop, a descendant of the Bindi family; now the palace and the small square have been renovated and families live there.

The little square is hidden and tiny but when you find it, it is full of surprises.
